Básquebalon

The National High School Básquebalon Tournament for Girls was this past week, it began on Wednesday night and continued on until Saturday night. This was the first time since 1984 that a Nortinshyper school has had a team go to nationals. I am starting to identify that the sport's teams in Nortinshyper aren't the best. ;) Well, I went to the game on Thursday, and later went to the game on Saturday. The games took place at a downtown arena, and the tickets were about 5 Renos a piece. The Nortinshyper team won the first game (good first half; not so well the second half) and lost in a very difficult game on Saturday night (good all through out the game). Anyways as a whole I enjoyed the game. Today I went to the cathedral in the morning and worked out in the vegetable garden later in the day. By the way I need to ask Mayana to the concert. I hope and pray all goes well.

Diao di les Rusan

Tomorrow the local university in Northern Nortinshyper, will be having a day called Russia Day. Actually it's not in the north part of town, but rather central, either way I'll have to take the train. Oh Well!

But, back to Russia Day. The day is going to be devoted to studying the cultures of the Russians, Slavics, and former Soviet Republics. There will be cultural classes, food, games, and I believe music. I think it'll be fun. It's nice to do fun stuff when not doing boring stuff during the week. I love the fact that Novin has an 8-day week. It gives a nice feel to the week.

Elezquera and X will be at Russia Day. Unfortunately, I was not able to convince Merganta to go. I've spoken very little with her recently. Odd! Oh well, it'll be fun to talk to Elezquera and X for a while.

Le Tempest

They are having a local production of one of William Shakespeare's plays Le Tempest, which may in fact be one of my favorite Shakespeare plays. I tried out today. There were three auditions, and I went to the second audition around mid-day. I actually think I did pretty well. I am wishing for the part of Ferdinand. There were about 15 people there, but only three of them were guys. Fingers crossed for a good part.

Right now I am listening to the Cardigans, Love Fool. I have not listened to this song in such a long time.

On the train home, I met this real nice gal, and it turns out we have a lot in common. She's real nice but her husband is a bit of an oddball and several years older than her. I feel he is taking advantage of her. ¿Quién Sabe?

Tomorrow I am buying the flower. Best Wishes!

Diao di le Amor

Well, I'm back.

The city is beautiful. There are so many cathedrals and churches it's impossible to describe the feeling you get when you walk around the city. I love the plazas, especially the ones in the south-west part of town. They are by far the prettiest and they are only a few minuets away (by foot).

There is a holiday here similar to Valentine's Day known as Diao di le Amor, Day of the Love, in which it is traditional to share someone's affection for someone. I, of course, being new here, know very few people. I sent a flower (Red Rose) to a girl I like. I wrote the message "A voute, mi amore." To you, my love. How sweet! Anyways I hope she likes it. Oh well. I miss my friends back on the mainland. My friend Asian X, sent me a message. Very kind.

The best wishes to all in the world, and do pray for peace in the East part of the island.

To all: Feliz Diao di le Amor

Well Here We Go

Welcome to the tales from Nortinshyper. Many of you may remember me as Mister Pip from the Dihydrogen Oxide Blog, but sadly I have moved to Nortinshyper. For those of you who are not familiar with Atlantic Geography, Nortinshyper is a city in North-Western Novin. I plan to use this blog to post about the daily happenings of Nortinshyper and all of it's inhabitants. Well, time to go explore.
